Dr. Dotson was raised in Vienna, West Virginia. He completed his undergraduate education at West Virginia Wesleyan in 1979 where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry. He then continued on to West Virginia University School of Dentistry in Morgantown to earn his D.D.S. in 1983. Go Mountaineers!

Dr. Dotson moved to Tampa, FL in 1983 and has more than 40 years of dental experience. The practice is still privately owned and operated and not a corporate dental office. Dr. Dotson takes pride in providing patients with a positive dental experience in a caring, understanding environment. The entire staff wants every patient to leave the office feeling that we made their visit as pleasant as possible.

Dr. Dotson is a member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, West Coast Dental Association, Hillsborough County Dental Association, Hillsborough County Dental Research Clinic, Pierre Fauchard Academy, and Fellow, American College of Dentists.

Dr. Dotson is married to Kathy and shares his life with his adult children: his son and daughter-in-law, Jared and Sarah and daughter, Mallory. When not providing excellent dental care to his patients, Dr. Dotson enjoys spending time with his family and dog Paisley,  golfing, playing basketball and working on landscaping ideas in the yard.
